One of the largest retail companies in the world, Costco operates a chain of membership-only warehouse clubs internationally.

Located in Varennes and measuring four times the size of the Montreal's Bell Centre, this new cross dock warehouse spanning an area of 650,000 sq. ft. required meticulous planning and logistics. It is built on a 3.7 million square foot plot of land. This project includes both dry and refrigerated space. Costco also commissioned DIVCO to build its first electronic order processing and fulfillment center in Quebec. Integrated into the warehouse and equipped with an exclusive state-of-the-art racking system, it optimizes the capacity of this impressive facility.

The warehouse was operational less than 4 months after the beginning of the construction.

This large-scale $100 million project required extensive site preparation: demolition of a decommissioned petrochemical plant, land decontamination, the diversion of a waterway, and construction of a new access bridge. Work could then begin and was completed just 10 months later. DIVCO managed to obtain all required municipal, regional, and provincial approvals for construction within the tight deadline. Work continued seven days a week with additional teams to meet the planned schedule.
