IBM Viger Data Centre

IBM - Canada is a subsidiary of International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), an American multinational information technology company headquartered in Armonk, New York, with operations in over 170 countries.

This was a joint venture project with EllisDOn. The EllisDon DIVCO (EDD) Joint Venture was developed in 2010 to service the Mission Critical Market for the Province of Quebec.

EDD expanded an existing penthouse for MEP extension purposes (e.g. emergency generators, UPS plant, chillers etc.), renovating the existing office space to increase white space and added an additional floor to the existing building to convert it into a data centre. These new server rooms required modifications of the premises as well as significant mechanical changes.
