Daly Morin
The Daly-Morin condominium complex is the legacy of the past reborn in a modern inspiration: an old factory that was converted to condominiums by adding new sections to the original building, including three additional floors to the three existing floors.
This five-phase condominium project consisted of a 250-unit condominium complex with six storeys in steel concrete along with a green roof and terrace, plus indoor parking. The structure was created in steel and concrete for the condo portion and sported a steel mill floor with "gypcrete" (gypsum concrete) for the lofts. The outer and inner walls were strengthened, the foundation and exterior walls insulated and everything renovated to the highest standards. The interior garage included an automated ventilation system and carbon monoxide detectors.
DIVCO’s value-engineering exercise generated savings in excess of $700,000.
