Reitmans is a leading Canadian retailing company, specializing in women's clothing.
This project involved the construction of a 500,000 ft2 distribution centre upon acquisition. The site was decontaminated but not backfilled, so the level of the ground had to be raised in order to respect the municipal regulations and integrate with the drainage levels of the existing municipal networks.
After completion of the building foundations and with the structural steel already being erected, the client decided to postpone the construction of the office tower to a later date. The client also changed the building plans in mid-construction to add a cafeteria and a computer room.
The building was delivered on time in just seven months.
