Pharmaprix

Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation is a Canadian retail pharmacy chain based in Toronto, Ontario. It has more than 1,300 stores operating under the names Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix in nine provinces and two territories and in Quebec.

This project entailed a three-storey building that had to be constructed between two existing towers on the city’s busiest shopping street. In addition, it had to be built on piles due to the poor nature of the soil.

As the building covered 100% of the lot, access became extremely challenging. Meticulous coordination with the neighbouring buildings was required to ensure that the 3 existing tenants were not disturbed.
